The world's leading scientific journal has featured a powerful image of John McCain and Barack Obama on its front cover. The pair radiate statesmanlike-authority, the image is suitably somber for the weighty interview inside.
Then, however, you see the back cover.
In an unfortunate choice, advertisers placed there an image of two labrador pups - one black, one golden, in an uncanny mirror image of the grave image on the front.
The dogs strike eerily similar poses to Barack Obama, the first black American presidential candidate for a major political party, and his Republican rival John McCain, tanned golden brown from the Arizona sun.
The journal swears it is horrified by the coincidence.
"We didn't know until the issue landed on our desks," Nature pleaded to the media.
"It just goes to show that editorial and advertising aren't working in cahoots."

Netflix & Xbox 360 partner up to make my life awesome!
This is so freakin' cool, so now on Xbox Live you can sign in to Netflix and watch movies and TV shows from your instant queue. I have been kinda upset because currently the Instant option from Netflix is only available to Windows PCs and if you know me, then you know that I have a Mac, 3 Macs actually, so I have not been able to enjoy watching movies from Netflix instantly. I watch all of my Netflix the old fashioned way, on DVD.
BUT NO MORE! I just got an e-mail from Xbox stating that their re-vamped their Xbox Live experience. As I was looking through the new features I stumbled across the best new feature of all, Netflix compatibility. Now I can watch The Office from the beginning!
Check out the link here to read more about the new feature!

SHOCKING news
What appears to be the cover of the forthcoming issue of People magazine was posted on the gossip Web site perezhilton.com yesterday. Aiken is posed with his new son, Parker Foster -- who was delivered via a surrogate -- and a headline proclaiming, "Yes, I'm Gay." The subhead continues: "The Idol star opens up about his emotional decision to come out: I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things."
OKay, maybe not so shocking...

WTF?!? More racist political "humor"
A box of Obama Waffles is seen in Washington, Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008. A vendor at a conservative political forum was selling boxes of waffle mix depicting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama as a racial stereotype on its front and wearing Arab-like headdress on its top flap. The product was meant as political satire, said Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss, two writers from Franklin, Tenn., who created the mix and sold it for $10 a box at the Values Voter Summit sponsored by the lobbying arm of the Family Research Council.

Losties like to Drinkie
What is the deal with the cast of Lost getting drunk and then driving afterward??!
Not cool Losties, not cool.
HONOLULU - "Lost" star Daniel Dae Kim pleaded no contest to drunken driving charges and was ordered to pay a $500 fine. Whether his character on the popular castaway drama absorbs more punishment remains to be seen. Kim,40, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon, was arrested Oct. 25 when a police officer spotted him driving erratically in Honolulu. His blood alcohol content was 0.168, more than double the state's legal limit.
District Judge William Cardwell scolded Kim, who wore a dark, gray suit and blue shirt in court Thursday."You need to understand that 0.168 is more that double the legal limit. It means you were seriously impaired," Cardwell said. "And it just cannot happen again. It's simply too dangerous."
"Believe me, sir, I do," Kim replied.
Kim also had his driver's license revoked for six months and was subjected to a drug-and-alcohol assessment. He was also ordered to pay $212 in court fees and perform 72 hours of community service."I'm just grateful and relieved that this matter has been resolved," he said after the hearing. "It's been a pretty difficult time for my family and me. But I'm glad I had a chance to take responsibility for my mistake."
Kim was the third "Lost" actor to have been arrested for driving while intoxicated in Hawaii; the other two had their characters killed off on the show soon afterward. The roles of Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were eliminated in 2005 after they pleaded guilty to drunken driving.

Cynthia Watros who plays Libby, almost girlfriend of sweet Hurley
Michelle Rodriguez who plays the tough chick from the Tail section with giant beaver teeth, Ana Lucia
