Anyone remember having a set of encyclopedias? Book reports? Anyone?
I took a class and the prof actually had to remind the class that Wikipedia was not a valid source to cite information in our research papers!
All I have to say is, "Rarely do we ask the question: 'Is our children learning?' "

I was just thinking about this yesterday actually, how school must be completely different these days!! I remember having to go to the library, lug around the encyclopedias from the 1950s, etc. I wonder if they even make kids use reference books anymore. PLUS - what excuse do they have to get out of class and skip to the parking lot if they don't say they'll be in the library? We didn't have the internet until I was 20, which I'm happy about... I'm gonna make my kids hate me and not let them use it so that they can invest their time in participating in the world around them! :-)
Will this be my graduation present? :-)
